Mercedes-Benz concern decided to revive its luxury Maybach brand in Indian market. The cars offered are 62 and 57S.
Mercedes-Benz CEO Peter Honegg said these cars are designed only for luxury segment of Indian market. He said they are planning to sell about 20 cars in a year. Their price will be about $1 million. Mercedes had tried to bring Maybach to India in 2004, but now Peter Honegg said it had been too early for them. Now, he said, theese models are writing a new chapter in the brand’s history. Bentley and Rolls-Royce are already available on the Indian market, so the competition will be hard.
